Wondervision's Latest Fiat 500L Spot

In our latest TV spot for Fiat Minneapolis, we decided to do a complete 180 from our last ad. After doing research on the brand and getting to know Fiat's target market a little better, we realized we needed to shy away from the stereotypes that were formerly pigeonholing Fiat. The client reminded us that the 500L is the main focus and that we needed to hammer home the main selling points of the car; it has 4 doors and comfortably seats 5, something Fiat has never offered before until now.

Our star actor in the commercial is local wrestler Scott Brault, who goes by the stage name "The Brauler". The Brauler's uniform colors are pink and black, so we decided to have Luther Fiat dip a Fiat 500L in pink to match. We designed a series of ads based on The Brauler and his pink Fiat and hope to begin production on those in mid June. The pink Fiat 500L, now nicknamed "Pinky", will be driving around the Twin Cities all summer long, so keep an eye out for it!

Behind The Scenes of Wondervision's Latest Fiat Ad

Wondervision Productions recently finished production on their second commercial for the local Fiat dealerships. The new ad highly contrasts the sexy, European flair of their first spot, with a grungy wrestling scene. The spot is set to release in mid-May, but until then, here are some behind the scenes photos shot on set by Roy Son.

The full set can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.565241176867911.1073741832.523935510998478&type=1&l=99534dc088

Wondervision Productions Wins 2 Bronze In 35th Annual Telly Awards

St. Paul, Minnesota – 4/29/14 – The Telly Awards has named Wondervision Productions as a Bronze winner in the 35th Annual Telly Awards for their local TV Spot titled 'Fiat 500L - More Than Your Ego Can Handle'.   The categories they were awarded in are Local TV - Automotive, and Local TV - Cinematography. With nearly 12,000 entries from all 50 states and numerous countries, this is truly an honor.

Co-owners of Wondervision Productions, Kevin Horn & Aaron Courteau created the piece for the local Minneapolis Fiat dealership with the hope of changing the status quo for not only local TV, but for car commercials in general. "As a gear head and Fiat owner myself, it was one of the most fun projects I have had the pleasure of working on", says Courteau. Kevin Horn goes on to note that "one of the greatest creative challenges we encountered was making St. Paul look and feel like Italy, and I think we conquered that."

Wondervision's Fiat commercial aired locally on FOX 9 and KARE 11 for a number of months in the Fall of 2013, and screened during before the movies in most AMC Theaters across Minnesota. The Fiat dealership received so much positive feedback after the commercial aired that they decided to hire Wondervision to produce another one. Wondervision completed production on the latest Fiat spot last weekend and plan on releasing it mid-May.

“The Telly Awards has a mission to honor the very best in film and video,” said Linda Day, Executive Director of the Telly Awards.  Wondervision Productions' accomplishment illustrates their creativity, skill, and dedication to their craft and serves as a testament to great film and video production.”
